Our “Third Friday” Series of Events
April 16, 2021: Haku Lei Wristlet. Renowned lei maker, Jean Kellerman, will show us how to assemble a haku lei wristlet. May 21, 2021: Guest speaker Celeste Connors, Executive Director of Hawai’i Green Growth, will update us on what this hub of public-private partnerships has been doing to advance its economic, social, and environmental goals. June 18, 2021: Lei Making with the Much-Maligned He'e Berry. Hillary Aipa, halau kumu, teacher of Hawaiian studies and music, will share with us a way to fashion a lei from the berries of the octopus tree. July 16, 2021: Tour and Discussion at Foster Gardens. Stay for a picnic lunch! This event will be subject to the whims of COVID-19.
