The Circle isn't complete without you!
By joining or donating to the Lani-Kailua Outdoor Circle (LKOC), you add power to the efforts of the organization to work for preserving and promoting the beautification of Kailua.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A MEMBER
By becoming an LKOC Member, you will automatically also become a member of The Outdoor Circle (TOC), the "trunk" of our state-wide organization.

Twice-yearly LKOC Newsletters are sent to our members, keeping them informed of our activities. They are available on-line as well.

Twice-yearly Membership Meeting and Luncheon events are held to bring our members together for an entertaining, informal gathering, with guest speakers of particular note. At our spring meeting, the membership elects our Board of Directors for the coming year.

As an LKOC member, the board welcomes you to join in as many of our worthwhile Projects and Volunteer Activities as your time and interests allow. Our membership application process allows you to select from a variety of opportunities.
Some Volunteer Interest suggestions are listed below

Beautification encourages new plantings in Kailua and works to have them maintained. The committee works with the State of Hawaii, the County of Honolulu, local businesses and organizations, and schools to promote the natural beauty of our town.

Sign Control promotes education and enforcement of sign laws for City and County of Honolulu, and State of Hawaii.

"I Love Kailua" Town Party is an annual event featuring entertainment, delicious food from Kailua restaurants, and sales of arts and crafts. The popular Town Party raises awareness of our beautification projects as well as raises money for their planting and maintenance. We always need help in planning and publicizing the party, designing and selling T-shirts, setting up and taking down the equipment, and many other jobs.

Public Affairs works with government agencies and local businesses to make sure we are all working for the best for our community.

"Learning to Grow" Volunteers actively teach gardening techniques and mentor students at the Women's Community Correctional Center, and provide weekly delivery of lettuce to local Foodland stores on Oahu..

Work Days/Planting Projects include regular cleanups of areas to remove invasive species or other overgrowth, and other planting projects
